Traffic Advisory: Multiple, Alternating Lane Closures on Powhite Parkway (VA 76) Northbound and Southbound

Traffic Control Signs Will Be in Place

Richmond, VA – The Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority announces multiple, alternating lane closures on the Powhite Parkway (VA 76) northbound and southbound between the James River Bridge and Forest Hill Avenue. Motorists using the Forest Hill Avenue on-ramp to northbound Powhite Parkway should expect delays merging onto the Parkway.

The multiple, alternating lane closures will occur on the weekends of January 10 and January 17 as follows:

Saturday 7:00 a.m. to Monday 6:00 a.m. to accommodate construction related to the upcoming transition to all-electronic tolling.

Motorists are reminded to pay attention to signage in the area and to exercise caution while traveling near the work zone. This work will be weather permitting.
