About the Role of the Strategic Communications Manager: Develops and implements communications, marketing, education and awareness strategies; creates engaging content for internal and external audiences, including marketing materials and internal documents. Leads efforts to enhance RMTA brand awareness. Supports the delivery of exceptional customer service and employee engagement and communications. Manages RMTA’s digital assets, including web content, electronic newsletters and social media platforms. Responsible for the dissemination of roadway incident alerts. This position requires regular on-site presence.

Education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, strategic communications, marketing, public relations public policy, English or related field is preferred. Minimum five (5) years progressive experience performing communications and/or marketing project management. Experience in the public sector, transit, tolling or transportation industry is a plus. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus. Equivalent combination of education, experience and/or training sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and abilities is acceptable.
