The Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority seeks Toll Collection Attendants (TCA): work up to 40 hours per week and earn $15.25 per hour. A perfect job for someone looking for full time/part-time/weekend employment.
Job Summary: Performs intermediate semiskilled and clerical work collecting tolls and making change on an assigned tour of duty while ensuring a smooth and orderly flow of traffic.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; strong math skills preferred.
Experience working with customer transactions involving money OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
Excellent customer service skills, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to maintaining an excellent attendance record.
Weekend shifts/availability is required for part-time TCAs.
Physical requirements – ability to walk across traffic lanes; climb steps of steep grade; carry a cash tray of 30 pounds.
Reliable transportation to all RMTA toll facilities – Powhite Parkway and Downtown Expressway.

Must successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check and maintain satisfactory record after employment.
The RMTA offers:
Starting pay rate: $15.00 per hour. Upon successful completion of six-month probation, payrate increases to $15.52.
Double pay for working on the following seven core holidays: New Year’s Day; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; Memorial Day; Fourth of July; Labor Day; Thanksgiving Day; and Christmas Day.
