RMTA Bridge Attendant: Monitors toll equipment and ensures the security of the Boulevard Bridge Plaza. Ensures that all equipment is working properly and clears jammed equipment as needed; notifying appropriate individuals of malfunctioning machines. Monitors traffic in lanes and turns around trucks, when necessary. Displays a courteous and polite demeanor in all dealings with the public.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience monitoring and providing facility security is preferred.
- Experience communicating with other employees, vendors and the public.
- Ability to work independently.
- Maintaining regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Must successfully pass a drug screen and criminal background check and maintain satisfactory record after employment.
Physical requirements – ability to walk safely across traffic lanes; ability to periodically lift heavy objects. Worker is subject to inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, noise, vibration, hazards, and atmospheric conditions.
The RMTA offers:
Starting pay rate: $15.00 per hour. Upon successful completion of six-month probation, payrate increases to $15.52.
