Traffic Advisory: Triple Lane Closures on Powhite Parkway (VA 76)

Traffic Control Signs Will Be in Place

Richmond, VA – The Richmond Metropolitan Transportation Authority announces triple-lane closures on multiple dates on the Powhite Parkway (VA 76) between the James River Bridge and Forest Hill Avenue to support construction for the upcoming transition to all-electronic tolling.

The closures will occur on:

• Monday, February 9 and Tuesday, February 10

10:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Triple left-lane closures on Powhite Parkway (VA 76) northbound

• Wednesday, February 11 to Friday, February 13

6 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Alternating, triple lane closures on Powhite Parkway (VA 76) southbound

• Saturday, February 14 to Monday, February 16

Saturday 6 a.m. to Monday 6 a.m.

Alternating, triple lane closures on Powhite Parkway (VA 76) southbound

Motorists are reminded to pay attention to signage in the area and to exercise caution while traveling near the work zone. This work will be weather permitting.
